I’ve decided to go with a new hosted blog.  I’ll be integrating Thomas’ Adventures into teabyrd.

A broken french press is not the way to end the Thanksgiving break.

After 5.5 hours in the trusty Volvo, I finally made it to the beach on Wednesday afternoon.  It was great to meet up with the family for a couple days.  Thanksgiving dinner was one of the best in recent memory, and I’m sure I ate my body weight in stuffing.

Now I’ve just got to prepare myself for a few tough weeks of nonstop work.

Chugging coffee while attempting to study for a test, prep for a film shoot tonight, prepare for a meeting with a professor, read for class, and then I’ll be running on campus in 2 hours to take photos and video for another project.  How I love the two days before Thanksgiving break!

We played 27 holes of disc golf this morning at Hurricane Shoals. Despite huge, straight drives at the intramural fields last weekend, most of today was spent attempting to hack apart avoid the countless trees filling the fairways. Horribly designed, though the wind didn’t help any part of our game.

I’m thinking about upgrading to a hosted site to incorporate the shizaam blog, this one, and the mp3blog.  Any suggestions for names (www.insertnamehere.com)?

We’ve continued playing disc golf obsessively, and have even taken to scouring the Internet for tips and tutorials. Last Saturday we ended up playing 47 holes of disc golf out at Sandy Creek, and we’re looking forward to checking out another course just outside of the city.

I’d love to bring my camera along, but instead I’ve been using my cell phone’s camera to document our competitions. If only the quality were higher…

Never again will I wake up at 8am, drink a cup of coffee, and make the horrible, now unthinkable decision to go back to sleep for 2 hours.

Fall is finally coming to Athens.

Disc Golf

14Oct06

It could just be a confidence thing, but I was on fire today on the urban disc golf course with my new discs.  I’ve been most impressed with birdie, the buttery smooth and perfectly straight putter.  The Leopard is the midrange, and I’ve yet to really harness the power of the long-range Teebird.  It’s incredible how much of noticable difference there is with moving up to the championship level and quality of discs.
