Back in Athens

13Aug06

The return to Big City Bread for breakfast was the perfect way to start off the weekend with a reunion with friends, 2 scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, biscuit, rasberry jelly, and great coffee.
After six weeks in Oxford, it’s absolutely infuriating how inconvenient it is to do anything in town without a car.  Grocery stores, restaurants, [...]

Here is a quick recap of All in British Standard Time.
5:00 AM – Wake after 3 hours of sleep.
5:30 AM – Leave Oxford on the coach.
7:30 AM – Arrive at London Gatwick airport to the sight of guards with enormous heavy weaponry. Begin multiple check-in and security checks.
12:20 PM – Board British Airways flight.

Complete! No academic concerns for seven days.  High fives all around!
Time to do everything I’ve been meaning to do in Oxford + pack in a little under 36 hours.

In case you’re looking for a new tea to try out, I strongly suggest some of Twinings Infusions: Orange, Mango & Cinnamon. Great for 10:30AM, 3:00PM, or 11:00PM tea!

Week #6!

07Aug06

It’s amazing that these six weeks in Oxford are almost over. I’ll be heading back across the Atlantic on Friday morning, and my first visit to Europe will have come to a close. It was great to finish up my last journalism paper yesterday, and I’m working through my final paper on witchcraft [...]
