Chugging coffee while attempting to study for a test, prep for a film shoot tonight, prepare for a meeting with a professor, read for class, and then I’ll be running on campus in 2 hours to take photos and video for another project.  How I love the two days before Thanksgiving break!

I’ve been meaning to start a “What I Learned Today” feature for awhile now, but I’ve got some free time so here’s the first in what I hope to be a series of many.  I’ll definitely need to work on an improved title.  Here we go!
Dr.  David Mindich visited Grady College on Friday to give [...]

Sunday morning

24Sep06

After a long wait for breakfast, I’ve spent the morning doing design work for my New Media class. I’m not too happy with the font and header design yet, but hopefully I’ll be able to get everything worked out soon. Work all day, then I’ve got to get psyched up for what is [...]

Complete! No academic concerns for seven days.  High fives all around!
Time to do everything I’ve been meaning to do in Oxford + pack in a little under 36 hours.

Week #6!

07Aug06

It’s amazing that these six weeks in Oxford are almost over. I’ll be heading back across the Atlantic on Friday morning, and my first visit to Europe will have come to a close. It was great to finish up my last journalism paper yesterday, and I’m working through my final paper on witchcraft [...]

The Montacute House is a 17th century, Elizabethan-era, home surrounded by gardens. It also featured an extension of the National Portrait Gallery’s collections with paintings [...]

I wasn’t able to finish my journalism paper before Formal Dinner last night, and let’s just say that attempts to edit following dinner were not going very well. I woke up at 5AM and finished it up in about an hour, and then slept till 8:30AM. Wrote on the “Stupid Internet and Political [...]

Week 5

31Jul06

The rain continues to fall here in Oxford.  It’s 66˚ and I’ve got the windows open and a rainy day jazz mix playing.  It’s Monday, and of course that means formal dinner.  The drinks reception begins in under an hour and I’ve got tons of work to do.
On this week’s academic schedule:

Monday: Formal dinner + [...]

Thursday

27Jul06

Taking a short break from the grind. It’s finally cooled down around here after last night’s thunderstorm, but it’s still pretty humid. I’m somehow still running on a little sleep and a strong double espresso.
It’s going to be a long day of paper writing and Parisian planning. Off to the Trinity [...]

Studying

24Jul06

Today was a nonstop studying, reading, and writing extravaganza in the bottom of the Radcliffe Camera.  The academic celebration will continue for the next 96 hours.
